    My family loved the Crock Pot Jambalaya. I would give this product 5 stars if it were not for the extreme high price. After you purchase the ingredients that go with this meal, you are spending $30.00-$35.00 total. That's pretty pricy for one night's home cooked meal. We may purchase this product again sometime in the future providing the price were made more realistic,according to it's type of product. Zatarain's has a Jambalaya that is very similar but at a small fraction of the cost. I'm sure I can figure a way to use it in the crock pot as well. I hope this review was helpful to not only potential buyers but the manufacturer as well.

Parboiled white rice, soup base (corn starch, sea salt, dried cane syrup, whey, onion, garlic, maltodextrin, spices, chicken broth, chicken fat, natural flavor, turmeric, sea salt), seasoning blend (enriched wheat flour [wheat, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], chili pepper, salt, garlic, spices, paprika, cumin, parsley), red and green bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, chives, celery.

Allergens

Contains wheat and milk. Made on equipment that also produces products containing egg, soy, milk and wheat. This product is GMO free.

  • You Will Need
    • 1 pkg. seasoning mix (included)
    • 1 pkg. vegetable/rice mix (included)
    • 1 pkg. yellow soup base (included)
    • 5¼ cups water
    • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 3 to 3½ lbs.)
    • 1 lb. smoked or spicy sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
    • ½ lb. raw shrimp shelled (optional)
  • Can I use chicken with bones in and skin on?
    At a minimum, the chicken skin should be removed to prevent too much fat in the dish. Bone-in chicken is fine, but carefully removes the bones before serving.
  • Can I use chicken breasts instead of chicken thighs?
    Yes, you can use any combination of white and dark meat for this recipe; just try to use roughly the same amount of meat.
